I’ve been in love with the sweet sounds of folk duo She and Him ever since hearing Volume One, their 2008 debut album. So, naturally I was stoked to hear the second Zooey Deschanel and M.Ward collaboration is due out this spring on March 23^rd , aptly titled Volume Two.

In addition to providing her retro-esque vocals for the album, Zooey Deschanel is an actress known for her title role in last years 500 Hundred Days of Summer, as well as starring in less-known films like Gigantic. Portland native, Matt (M.) Ward makes up the second half of She and Him; Ward has a career as a solo folk artist and is a member of Monsters of Folk.

An added bonus, the Nebraskan indie pop group Tilly and the Wall provide guest vocals for the first Volume Two single,”In the Sun.”
